Best Man
My older brother has known me my whole life and was my first best friend. He is always the funniest one in the room which I have always tried to duplicate and often leads to tons of laughter with family and friends. Whenever I started thinking about mine and Kinsey's big day, he was the first person I thought of to stand next to me and share this moment with.
Stephen Speer
Groomsmen
Stephen and I met in High School when I was teaching him how to be an athlete (if you know us, you obviously know that's a joke). In all seriousness, Stephen is one of the most talented and smartest men I know and has always been a solid, trusted friend and has always had my back. His calm, cool collected mentality is going to help us a lot on our big day.... as long as techno music doesn't start playing..
Jeff (Bizcut) Byrnes
Groomsmen
Bizcut has been one of my best friends for almost as long as I have lived in north Texas. Meeting him in freshman choir was the best thing that could have happened to me. He is the reason I signed up for football which changed my life for the better and introduced me to many men that I still call friends today. We then lived together for a few years in college where he quickly became one of the most talented opera singers in his program while I majored in how many beers I could fit into my body at one time. We have grown a lot together and it would not be the same if he wasn't standing up there with me. Geaux Tigers!
Aaron Harris
Groomsmen
From bar fights and country music festivals to the top of the Empire State Building, Aaron has become one of my closest friends over the years since high school. His devotion to his family and his little sister mirrors my own which has solidified our friendship for years to come. He is always more than happy to tell you how wrong your opinion is and talk about how basketball is better than all other sports known to man. And yes, he's ACTUALLY skipping the Baylor game to be at the wedding!
Geoff Kannenberg
Groomsmen
I met Geoff in that same freshman choir class as Bizcut but never realized how incredibly talented he was until later in life. Geoff is one of the most naturally gifted musicians I have ever met in my life and that showed in college when other amazing musicians would leave the room in anger at his nonchalant way to easily perform what was being asked. He is one of the funniest people I know and has always been a great and enduring friend, even after Bizcut and I left him passed out in the grass outside Tiger Stadium and went to the game anyway.
Andy Bautovich
Groomsmen
Andy and I met in high school and have been close friends ever since. He actually got me my first job where we worked on a golf course together, and nothing brings a friendship closer than shared manual labor. (if you see him at the wedding, he loves telling people my horror stories from that summer). We call Andy the "glue" of our friendship group because he has brought so many people into each other's lives and created a massive network of very close friends, which is a testament to the kind of man he is.
Austin Pearson
Groomsmen
Austin and I became good friends after high school and he quickly became one of my very close friends. He is my go-to for any beer recommendation and any new food destination. An unstoppable force on our trivia team, Austin is one of my smartest friends and is a bottomless pit of sports knowledge. He has always been a good friend who tells me exactly what he's thinking, whether for good or bad, no matter what kind of question I ask him. He's the only friend I know who has scaled the bank of a river with no shirt or shoes and gotten me home from New Braunfels in two hours. A true wild man, I am excited to share our day with him and his beautiful wife.
Jordan McFarland
Groomsmen
Jordan and I met in high school football study hall and quickly bonded over a love of everything movies. If there is anyone I can rely on to laugh at a stupid joke or pun I make or supply me with the newest music or band out there, it's him. Nothing solidifies a friendship like traveling together when he, Aaron and I took our antics on the road when we went on our amazing (failed) trip to Ireland which quickly landed us stranded in New York at the beginning of Covid. Seven days, three train trips, three different cities and 1,000 movie quotes later, he helped turn a failed trip into one we still talk about today.
Groom's Parents
Richard H. Glick
Father
My dad has been the constant in my life. He is a man who has never met a stranger, can have an in-depth and long conversation with a fence post, and has made it his duty in life to leave every person he encounters smiling at the end of their conversation. I have never known anyone to dislike him, and he worked hard every day of his life to make sure my siblings and I had what we needed. I have tested his patience, his kindness, and definitely made him greyer. But I could not imagine our big day without him there to witness the next step in my and Kinsey's life together.
Patty Glick
Mother
While my dad played a role in bringing me into this world, I obviously wouldn't be here without my mom. She was always the one pushing Mary and I to do every extracurricular we could sign up for which led to terrible karate pictures, less-than-average soccer skills, and voice lessons that helped me get by just enough to stay in choir through high school. She's the reason we watched way too advanced horror movies for our age and now yawn at the scariest movies out today. While the tears will undoubtedly be flowing on the big day, I can't wait for her to be a part of it.
